School Cook

This may be the position for you!

We are currently looking for a Full time Cook who would be responsible for preparing and assisting in the preparation of nutritional meals and snacks for our students and staff. As a boarding school our kitchen is open year-round (with the exception of winter and spring breaks)

What we offer

• Potential Start Date: September 1
• Wednesday-Saturday 11:30am-8:00pm or Tuesday-Saturday
• On-the-job training
• Meal as a taxable benefit
• $22.00/hour plus 2 weeks vacation
• Eligibility in employer and employee paid Health and Benefit Plan after successful completion of 3-month probationary period.
• 5 paid sick days after successful completion of 90 days employment

The ideal candidate has the following :

• 1-2 years years kitchen experience
• Is punctual, reliable and versatile
• Able to perform manual tasks and physical demands as required within the duties such as periods of Standing, lifting, bending, and twisting
• Positive with a caring attitude
• Can work cooperatively and with minimal supervision
• Trustworthy, and prompt

R equirements for this position:

• Required to complete and pass the Solicitor General criminal record check for the purpose of working with children.
