Assignment:
- Part-time 0.74 FTE temporary replacement teaching position
- Seeking a dynamic and passionate junior high teacher to join the IRJC team
- Courseload to include: Career and Life Management, and Grade 7-8 Science
- Duties to commence as soon as possible and will continue until April 9, 2027, with the possibility of extension
Qualifications:
- Experience and confidence teaching subject areas as listed above, would be considered an asset
- Demonstrate strong instructional practices across core subject areas
- Build positive and supportive relationships
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience teaching in junior high would be considered an asset
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment
- Assessment literate
- Ability to use varied instructional strategies to meet a wide range of individual needs
- Strong technology and 21st Century Learning Skills
- Strong planning and organizational skills
- Effective classroom management skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional growth
