TEMPO School in Edmonton is seeking an 1.0 FTE temporary position covering a maternity leave for an Elementary Generalist teacher capable of teaching a variety of subjects from kindergarten to grade six. Specifically, this position is kindergarten in the morning and French and art in grade two. This position will commence on December 1, 2026 and end June 17, 2027.
TEMPO School is an independent, provincially accredited, K-12, day school with a student population of 500 students. The school has a traditional, academic focus with small class sizes, uniforms, and high standards of teaching.
All interested applicants must:
Be capable of teaching courses with provincial achievement tests
Be in possession of, or eligible for, a valid Alberta teaching certificate
Be comfortable teaching in a traditional, academic environment
Have an excellent command of oral and written English
Have a strong literary base
Have strong classroom management skills
Be comfortable writing curriculum materials as required
Be willing to work as a team with other teachers
Be able to motivate students to reach their full potential
Please include a list of related courses studied at the post-secondary level.
Job Type: Full-time, temporary (maternity leave)
Contract length: 7 months
Pay: $65,000.00-$110,000.00 per year
