Professional social work involving the provision of services/interventions to individuals and groups to improve social functioning. The work involves identification of social needs and recommending appropriate action. Employees are responsible for counselling FN students, acting as a resource to educators and are establishing/maintaining effective working relationships with pupils, parents, teaching staff, groups, other government departments, community agencies and the public.

In accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees (Professional Support Group) Collective Agreement, $1,979.60 - $2,543.68 bi-weekly (effective July 1, 2022).
Necessary Special Requirement
Registration [or eligibility] with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers.
This is an open competition; however, in accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees Collective Agreement, should unionized employees under this bargaining group apply, employees shall be selected based on skill, ability and qualifications.
