Lakeland Catholic School Division is currently seeking a full-time Educational Assistant to support students at École Notre Dame Elementary School in Bonnyville, AB for the 2025–2026 school year, with the possibility of extending into the 2026-2027 school year.

Serving students from Kindergarten to Grade 4, this position requires a skilled and compassionate professional with a strong background in supporting adolescents—particularly those with behavioural needs, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), or other complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support to students with diverse learning needs in classroom and individual settings
• Implement behavioural support strategies aligned with student support plans
• Assist with emotional regulation, engagement, and independence skills
• Work collaboratively with teachers and inclusive education teams in a Catholic school setting
• Maintain student dignity and a safe, respectful learning environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum Level 1 Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certification or willingness to obtain (Level 2 or 3 preferred)
• Demonstrated experience supporting students with complex learning needs
• Strong working knowledge of behavioural strategies and intervention techniques
• Ability to maintain professionalism and emotional regulation in dynamic situations
• Alignment with the values and mission of Catholic education.

Additional Assets:

• NVCI (Nonviolent Crisis Intervention), First Aid, or similar certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Familiarity with assistive tech and alternative learning tools
• Strong interpersonal, documentation, and teamwork skills
• French language skills are considered an asset, but are not required for this position
