About the School:

Prospero Teaching  is recruiting a dedicated Chemistry Teacher for a secondary school in Christchurch, South Island. The role will involve teaching the subject to grades 9-11. The position is a full-time role and will be offered as a fixed-term contract, commencing in January 2027.

This school is an independent secondary school and has a well-resourced science department. There is potential for growth within the institution, and the high academic standards imposed make it regularly oversubscribed. Access to the school is easy through public transit in an up-and-coming area of Christchurch.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors of Education
• Successfully undergo a certified criminal record check
• Be eligible to work in New Zealand (NZ Passport, Working Holiday Visa, AEWV)
• Have two recent professional teaching references covering the last two years
