Pembina Hills School Division invites applications for the position of Temporary Full-Time Educational Assistant at Barrhead Composite High School.

The School – Barrhead Composite High School
Located approximately 120 km northwest of Edmonton, Barrhead Composite High School (BCHS), is a grade 7-12 school.

The Position

 The successful candidate will provide one-on-one academic support to a variety of students, as well as providing small group and/or classroom assistance to a range of student needs. Hours of work will be Monday-Friday hours 33.5 hrs/week following the school calendar. Duties are to commence August 27, 2026 and will end June 24, 2027.

Qualifications

• Ability to set clear boundaries, communicate effectively and efficiently and work independently
• Ability to work in a flexible learning environment
• Ability to establish positive relationships to support students in grades 7-12
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with students and adults
• Must demonstrate the ability to work as a member of the school team, taking direction from the classroom teacher, special education lead teacher, and consultants
• Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed
• SIVA training would be an asset
• First aid would be an asset
