We are currently looking to hire a 0.6 - 1.0 FTE probationary contract  mathematics/science teacher who wants to work in a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive team environment. We embrace the concept of smaller mixed grade classes that respects Indigenous and non-indigenous students as individual learners. 

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement engaging learning opportunities that align with the curriculum and Charter goals
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and participation.
• Foster students' personal growth, confidence, and self-esteem through culturally relevant teaching practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to support student learning and well-being.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge of Indigenous education.

• Bachelor's degree in Education.
• Teaching certification in Alberta or ability to attain.
• Experience or training in teaching mathematics and science
• Experience and or training in working with multigrade classrooms.
• Experience in Indigenous education and familiarity with Indigenous pedagogies is an asset.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
