TUTOR SUPPORTING INDIGENOUS STUDENTS
POSITION: Tutor Supporting Indigenous Students
SALARY: $28 per hour
Tutors will be responsible for tutoring groups or individual elementary and/or secondary Indigenous students, while supporting students in reading, writing and mathematics. The tutoring sessions may take place online, during or immediately after school for up to one hour on Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.
There is also an opportunity for additional hours during the school day to provide support to students. This position requires a commitment of a minimum of 4 hours per week.
Candidates should be self-motivated, organized, reliable, proficient in the area of numeracy and literacy and possess strong interpersonal, collaborative and computer skills. Experience working with and knowledge of Indigenous language, culture, customs and traditions shall be considered an asset.
