Kumsheen ShchEma-meet School enrols approximately 98 students in kindergarten through grade 12, of which 99% are of Indigenous ancestry. Kumsheen ShchEma-meet School is located in the Village of Lytton which lies on the unceded and traditional territory of the Nlaka'pamux First Peoples. The school's Action Plan for Learning guides the work of the school.

The salary range for full-time teaching positions within Gold Trail School District is $63,735 to $116,190, with placement in accordance with provisions in the Collective Agreement. The district offers a competitive benefits and pension package.
