St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Schools invites applications for a temporary full-time Educational Assistant position at St.Augustine School in Ponoka, Alberta, beginning immediately. We require an educational assistant that can offer academic and social support for individual students in a small and large group settings is required. An understanding of Indigenous Learning, Response to Intervention, strong communication, literacy and numeracy skills, an optimistic attitude, and a willingness to be flexible with duties in an ECS - Gr. 12 environment are assets. The position will be for approximately 6 -8 weeks with the possibility of extension. Preferred candidates will have experience working with students with exceptional abilities and/or medical needs. Experience in a school would be considered an asset.
Employment is conditional upon the submission of a recent (within six months) Criminal Record Check, including the Vulnerable Sector Check, as well as a recent (within 6 months)Alberta Children's Intervention Record Check. Please note: Catholicity is not a requirement it is considered an asset.
