APSSP – System Chaplain (1.0 FTE)
The Waterloo Catholic District School Board serves over 38,000 learners and provides services to students in 50 schools (Kindergarten to Grade 12 and adult learners) across the Waterloo Region.

General Description of Duties:
This position serves the Waterloo Catholic District School Board's Kindergarten to Grade 12 community, providing chaplaincy leadership and support across both the elementary and secondary panels. The scope of responsibilities may evolve in response to emerging system-wide priorities and needs.
The System Chaplain works collaboratively with students, staff, school chaplains, principals, parish partners, system personnel, families, and community stakeholders to nurture the spiritual, pastoral, and faith formation life of Catholic school communities. Responsibilities include supporting and facilitating retreats, liturgical celebrations, sacramental preparation initiatives, faith formation opportunities, and other experiences that foster Catholic identity and student discipleship from Kindergarten through Grade 12.
The successful candidate will provide pastoral, ethical, doctrinal, liturgical, and theological leadership across the system. They will support schools in responding to the spiritual and pastoral needs of students and staff, assist during times of crisis or loss, promote meaningful partnerships between home, school, and parish, and contribute to the ongoing implementation of the Board's mission, vision, and Catholic educational priorities.
Working across both elementary and secondary schools, the System Chaplain will help ensure a coherent and vibrant approach to faith formation, evangelization, and Catholic leadership that supports students throughout their entire educational journey.
Minimum Requirements:
Hours of Work : Permenant, full-time: 35 hours per week / 42 weeks per year
