Indigenous Student Advisor (ISA) Attendance Focus
Location: W. Earl Miller Public School and Pinecrest Public School
Start date: As soon as possible

The Indigenous Student Advisor (ISA)- Attendance Focus, will provide intensive supports to students who identify as Indigenous with the goal of all students reaching personal excellence. The Indigenous Student Advisor will play a lead role in assisting all staff members to improve achievement, attendance, well-being, and graduation rates for students who self-identify as Indigenous throughout DSB Ontario North East.
As the Indigenous Student Advisor with attendance focus, you will be responsible for supporting and promoting attendance among students who self-identify as Indigenous. Your role will involve building positive relationships with students, families, Nations, outside agencies, and community partners to address attendance barriers and provide necessary support. The ISA will be the primary contact for attendance of students who self-identify as Indigenous.
