The Peace River School Division is seeking a Full-Time Bus Fleet Technician (Mechanic) This position will commence on March 1, 2026 (or on an date that is mutually agreed upon). The Bus Fleet Technician reports to the Transportation Manager, Service Writer and will be based at our Central Operations - Support Services Building in Grimshaw, Alberta.

This is a union position under the CUPE Local 4839 Peace River School Support Staff.

Applicants should have good organizational habits and maintain a safe, clean work environment. As a member of the Peace River School Division Support Staff a competitive wage and benefits package is offered in accordance with an established grid.
Preference will be given to individuals with Journeyman Trade Certification as a Heavy Duty Mechanic and/or Automotive Mechanic. Consideration may also be given to individuals who are currently enrolled in Heavy Duty or Automotive Mechanic apprenticeships. Individuals must be reliable, hold a valid class 5 license, display a positive work attitude and have good communication skills.

Rate of Pay is dependent on certification and years of experience and will be in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division.
