French Immersion Teachers

Edmonton Catholic Schools meets the academic needs of students precisely because we integrate faith, life and culture. We have grown as a school division from one school with 23 students to a large urban school district whose mission is to provide a Catholic education that inspires students to learn and that prepares them to live fully and to serve God in one another. The Division serves the educational needs of over 43,473 students through a faith based learning environment with 5,000+ employees in 97 schools and other sites. • Resume and Cover Letter (If applying as a French Immersion candidate, please provide a cover letter written in French)
• Two (2) Most Recent Summative Teaching Evaluations (contract position evaluations, practicum evaluations, or reference letters from recent substitute positions)
• Faith Formation Plan (Click link to complete document)
• Two (2) Professional References Letters (dated within the last two years)
• Baptism Certificate (if applicable)

Please note Edmonton Catholic Schools only considers non-Catholic applicants in the following specialized areas:

• Language Programs: Spanish, French, Ukrainian, and Cree
• CTS: Construction/Fabrication, Foods/Fashion, Cosmetology
• Elementary and Secondary Music
• High School Diploma Level Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
• Lived Indigenous Experiences

All qualified applicants are invited to submit an application. Successful applicants from outside of Alberta may qualify for a moving allowance package.

Applications will be reviewed for a potential invitation to a pre-screening interview. The pre-screening interview process is used to assess fluency in English and French to determine suitability for the Division’s French Immersion program.
