Gitksen West Secondary School is a brand-new, state-of-the-art high school serving the Gitwangak, Gitsegukla and Gitanyow First Nations. We are seeking a dedicated and culturally responsive Learning Support Teacher to join our team.
Position Summary
The Learning Support Teacher provides leadership and coordination of inclusive education services to support students' academic, social, emotional, and cultural success. This role involves working collaboratively with teachers, families, Elders, and community partners to ensure students with diverse learning needs receive appropriate supports and individualized programming. The successful candidate will implement strength-based, trauma-informed, and culturally grounded practices that reflect Sim'algyax and Gitksen values.
