Required Qualifications:

• Ability to deal tactfully and cooperatively with public, students, and staff.
• Possesses strong interpersonal skills.
• Willing to be an integral member of the Chinook Transportation team.
• Values the mission, vision, values and goals of Chinook School Division.
• Has attained a minimum of Grade 10.
• Minimum Journeyperson’s Designation.
• Experience in working on related vehicles is an asset.
• Good mechanical ability with strong capabilities in the area of troubleshooting.
• Strong background and knowledge of safe workplace practices.
• Proficient in the use of required tools and equipment.
• Good physical condition.
• Experience with gas and diesel engines is an asset.
• Strong technical skills.
• Hold and maintain a valid “Class 1-5” driver’s license.
• A willingness to obtain a 1A driver’s classification.
