Subject Area Coordinator - Literacy
Management and Non-Union Position
Pay Band 7 ($3 412 to $4 128 bi-weekly)

Under the direction of the Director of Curriculum and Instruction, the successful candidate will be responsible for guiding and supporting the implementation of the literacy curriculum for grades K-12 across Anglophone North School District.
Areas of Responsibility:
- Develop, implement, and evaluate initiatives and resources to enhance curriculum delivery and learning.
- Coordinate, plan and monitor the implementation of provincial and district initiatives.
- Identify professional learning needs.
- Plan, coordinate, and support professional learning.
- Collect and analyze data to support strategic planning.
- Respond to inquiries and concerns from schools, parents/community.
- Collaborate with the ASD-N curriculum team to provide instructional leadership across the district.
Qualifications:
- Master of Education or be working towards a Masters.
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience in teaching in the public school system and in progressive leadership roles.
- An equivalent combination of training and experience may be considered.
Desirable Qualities:
- Knowledge of and teaching experience using best practices in literacy.
- Knowledge of curriculum development and implementation, with a focus on literacy.
- Wide variety of recent Professional Learning experiences, as a participant and facilitator.
- Skilled in the use of data to support strategic planning.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with professional staff.
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to facilitate meetings and workshops.
- Ability to work as a team member.
- Administrative and/or leadership experience.
