Horace Allen School in Coleman, Alberta is seeking to employ the very best school-based staff in Alberta! Horace Allen School requires a part-time position (27 hrs/week), working with preschool age children on site. This position requires a minimum of Level 1 Early Childhood Educator certification or willingness to obtain.

Working with the Early Learning Educator, programming goals will be directed by a collaborative team and implemented by the Educational Assistant. The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to the delivery of student-centered programming with a belief that all children can learn. This position will begin August 27, 2024 and end on June 26, 2025.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Training in speech and language support
• Knowledge and understanding of early childhood development through a Reggio Emelia and Place- Based approach
• Ability to build relationships with children, families and members of the learning team in a collaborative environment
• Enthusiastic and motivated to help students succeed
• Experience with and/or training working with children with diverse learning needs in an inclusive environment
• Current First Aid certification, and Siva training are an asset
