Livingstone School requires a Part-Time Educational Assistant (17.5 hours/ week) to provide child support in an inclusive setting. The successful candidate will assist children in an inclusive program who require support with self-regulation and behaviour as well as self-care and some toileting. This position will begin August 27, 2024 and will continue until June 26, 2025 .

Desired qualifications include the following:

• Experience working with children with significant behaviour and self-regulation needs
• Academic understanding of literacy and numeracy skills from Kindergarten to grade 9.
• NVCI and/or SIVA training and asset
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with children who require patience and flexibility
• Experience working with students in one-on-one and in inclusive classroom settings
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships with students and staff
• Experience and training in working with children with diverse learning needs
• Experience in working collaboratively with a Learning Support Team
• Willingness to work with young children in a physically demanding environment

Salary is determined by qualifications and experience. Livingstone School is a K-12 school with approximately 260 students.
