Are you a tech-savvy professional passionate about supporting education? Wolf Creek Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Technology Support Analyst: Cloud Support to join our Technology Services team. This position offers the right candidate an opportunity to work in a collaborative team environment while providing essential technical support to teachers, staff, and students across our school district.

Position: Technology Support Analyst- Cloud Support
Location: District Office, Ponoka (with travel to various school sites)
Reporting to: Technology Integration Director

Duties to commence October 1, 2024, or flexible dependent on the successful candidate

Special Focus Area: Cloud Computing Support

  • Manage daily operations of our Microsoft Azure/Whipcord setup, ensuring seamless integration and functionality of all Microsoft services used within the district.
  • Assist in managing our Wolf Creek Google domain.
  • Managing the back end of tools which connect with our Google domain and student information system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to teachers, staff, and students, ensuring smooth daily operations of technology in classrooms, offices, and learning spaces.
  • Install and configure software and hardware, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with other Technology Services team members to maintain a reliable and efficient access to technology resources.
  • Conduct training for teachers and staff on core technology tools.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for technology support procedures.
  • Provide technical assistance during standardized testing periods.
  • Respond to support requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance both technical skills and people skills.
  • Stay current with the latest trends in education technology.


Qualifications:

  • Education & Experience: Experience in a similar role, preferably within a K-12 educational environment.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Chrome OS), network administration, software installation, troubleshooting, and hardware maintenance. Experience configuring a Microsoft Azure environment is considered an asset.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical end-users.
  • Problem-Solving Abilities: Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Teamwork & Collaboration: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a high-functioning team.
  • Customer Service Orientation: Passion for providing excellent support and a positive end-user experience.
  • Microsoft IT certifications are a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft PowerShell is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of integration methods and tools for M365.
  • Familiarity with ITIL or other service management frameworks is advantageous.
  • Additional Requirements: Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle with appropriate insurance, and willingness to travel within the district. Kilometrage is reimbursed at a standard rate for work related travel. Flexibility to occasionally work outside of regular hours as needed.

Working Environment:

This role is based at our District Office in Ponoka but requires travel to various school sites. A valid driver’s license and personal vehicle are necessary for this role. You will work both independently and collaboratively with the Technology Services team and report directly to the Technology Integration Director.
