Principal Glenmary 7-12 School Peace River, Alberta
Holy Family CRD is seeking a highly motivated educator with visionary leadership to fill the role of Principal. The successful candidate will possess a clear vision for student success, a commitment to collaborative leadership, a good understanding of school improvement and culture, and be able to work in the context of the Catholic school community.
The Principal is required to provide leadership to Glenmary/Holy Family CyberHigh Outreach, located in Peace River, Alberta.
- Glenmary is a 7-12 school with approximately 450 students, 30 Certified Staff and 15 Support Staff.
- Within the school operated Holy Family Cyberhigh Outreach programing offering online courses to support flexibility and student programming
- Newly renovated for 2017-18 school year with new CTS labs and programming, foods lab, and cosmetology as well as significant upgrades for classrooms, offices, library, science labs etc.
- Provides a broad range of junior high and senior high academic and French Immersion Programs, Fine Arts, Athletics
- Provides online learning programs to meet individual student's learning needs.

- Can create a culture of high expectation for students, staff and effectively partner the administrators, teachers, support staff , parents and the community
- Can cultivate a climate of mutual respect with students promoting engagement and have a proven ability to build relationships
- Provide leadership in the implementation of High School programming, assessment and reporting
- Demonstrate effective communication, facilitation, and problem solving skills
- Promote and model lifelong learning for students and staff
- Effectively plan, organize, and manage the human and physical resources of the school
- Have effective communication and interpersonal skills
- The capacity to provide collaborative leadership and engagement of stakeholders
- Exceptional organizational skills and a high degree of flexibility
- Proficiency in the use of technology to enhance pedagogy
- A commitment to students success
- Demonstrate flexibility and a readiness to take on roles and challenges as they arise in order to meet School and Division goals
- Knowledge of First Nations, Metis and Inuit Students
The successful candidate - Eligible to be a teacher/leader in the province of Alberta - Teacher Alberta Certification, Leadership Certification in Alberta
- Will be a member of the school's administrative team and participate in division training and initiatives.
- Preference will be given to applicants with a Master's Degree or who are working towards their Master's Degree.
The position is probationary moving to a continuous term contract(s) upon successful evaluation.
Position starts for the 2024-25 School Year - August 28, 2024 The salary reflects Holy Family Catholic Regional Division Collective Agreement.
