The Fort McMurray Roman Catholic Separate School Division is seeking a temporary full time Kindergarten Teacher starting April 2024 at Father Beauregard Catholic School and Elsie Yanik.
Duties of Elementary School teachers may include but, not limited to, the following:
- Identify students’ individual and collective learning needs
- Plan and deliver instruction based on student learning needs and special needs
- Provide a stimulating learning environment in which each student can experience growth and develop to his or her potential
- Help students learn appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes.
- Meet with parents
- Evaluate and communicate student progress
- Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help
- Meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress
- Volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after-school activities
- Participate in staff meetings, educational conferences and teacher training workshops
- May supervise teachers' aides and student teachers
- Attend meetings, seminars, and in-service training sessions.

- Must be eligible for Alberta Teacher Certification and hold a Bachelor of Education Degree

The successful candidate will be required to provide a Criminal Reference Check and a Vulnerable Sector Check. FMCSD will contact past and present employers for references. All FMCSD employees are expected to be computer literate; this includes fluency with e-mail, Internet and MS Office.
