Iron Ridge Secondary Campus (IRSC) is a brand-new school opening in August 2024. IRSC is looking to create a vibrant educational institution committed to fostering academic excellence, character development, and physical well-being among students. The goal is to take great pride in creating a supportive environment where students can thrive academically, athletically, and personally.

Assignment:

• Full-time 1.0 FTE probationary teaching position
• Courseload to include;
  • Social Studies 9, 10, and 20
  • Ctf/Options/Com Courses
• The successful candidate will also be required to provide programming for grades 9-12
• Duties will commence on August 28, 2024, and continue for the remainder of the 2024/2025 school year.

Qualifications:

• Experience in Social Studies would be considered an asset
• Passion for education and commitment to student success.
• Strong technology and 21st-century learning skills
• Assessment literate
• Ability to utilize varied instructional strategies to meet a wide range of individual needs
• Strong planning and organizational skills
• Strong classroom management skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Willingness to work in a team-oriented learning environment and be a positive team member
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth
• An understanding of High School Redesign Principles, the Collaborative Response Model, and Differentiation would be considered an asset
• Ability to teach in a flexible learning environment.
