The Stikine is a progressive northern School District in British Columbia offering a top salary scale with an excellent benefit package. This continuing position is 10 hours per week at $38.36 per hour.

The incumbent must have knowledge, skills & abilities in the following areas:

• valid Class 5 or 7 B.C. driver s license.
• competent in the use and care of tools and equipment common to this position.
• be able to work both independently and as a team member.
• ability to read and understand labels and instructions, particularly on the use and application of cleaning chemicals and products.
• effective verbal and listening communications skills.
• ability to work with little or no supervision.
• physically capable of performing all assigned duties (includes walking, standing, stooping, reaching, lifting, moving furniture, and carrying equipment & materials).
• ability to make decisions, solve problems and manage time effectively.
• knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System.
• familiar with general principles and practices of facility operation.
• provides skilled trades services related to the maintenance and upkeep of school buildings, grounds, and equipment.
• responsible for snow removal in the winter.
