We are adding teachers to our Elementary Occasional teacher roster! Candidates may also be considered for Long Term assignments.

Hourly Rate:

Daily rate of pay starts at $250.56 (includes 4% vacation pay)

Individual wage for Long-Term Occasional work is based on QECO Rating Statement and Grid Placement.

Location:

Hamilton and surrounding Region (Ancaster, Binbrook, Dundas, Flamborough, Waterdown, Stoney Creek/Winona)

Requirements:

  • Candidates must be certified by the Ontario College of Teachers (in good standing). New graduates pending OCT certification are welcome to apply!
  • Professional skills and attitudes including lived experiences, skill sets, backgrounds and varied work experience that may be considered valuable to the position
  • Ability to speak multiple languages in addition to English in French
  • Working with diverse communities locally or abroad
  • Ability to lead a school band, theatre arts, lead extracurricular activities, etc. as needed
  • Professional experience outside of the classroom
  • Additional qualifications and experience
  • Additional requirements that are outside of the regular OCT qualifications
  • Consideration of early career educators
