Westwood Community High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our instructional team in the role of Senior High Social Studies/English Language Arts Teacher.

Requirements:

• Bachelor of Education

Desired Qualifications/Skills:

• Alberta Teaching Certificate, or is eligible to obtain certification in Alberta
• Experience teaching in a high school setting, with knowledge of senior high humanities programs of study.
• Knowledge and familiarity with Assessment for Learning, Literacy, and Differentiated Instruction practices.
• Effective organizational and classroom management skills are imperative.
• Ability to integrate and use technology in a regular and virtual classroom.
• Ability to create goals for Individual Program Plans and implement the plan for students.
• A strong ability to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• Strong technology skills are required, with knowledge of Google Platform applications and PowerSchool an asset.
• Flexible TEAM player.
