Our 70 schools and offices provide a positive learning and working environment for more than 5,000 employees, including educators and support staff. ASD-S is committed to creating an engaging, equitable, and high-achieving learning environment for our students, and we are looking for dedicated professionals to join our growing team.

Job Description:

Supply Teachers are essential to the success of our school community. As our district continues to expand, we are looking for qualified individuals to fill daily teaching vacancies across a wide range of classrooms, from Kindergarten through Grade 12. These positions are available in both English and French-language classrooms, offering a diverse and flexible work environment that supports personal growth and professional development.

Please note that due to the nature of substitute teaching, assignments are often made on short notice. Therefore, applicants should reside within ASD-S boundaries or in reasonable proximity to the assigned schools. If you live outside of the ASD-S region, please explain in your application how you would meet this requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with school staff to support student success.
  • Maintain accurate attendance and report any classroom incidents as required.
  • Assist with any additional classroom activities or duties as needed.
Qualifications:

All applicants must hold a minimum of 60 post-secondary credits. Priority will be given to applicants with a New Brunswick Teaching Certificate or those eligible to obtain one.

Additional Qualifications and Skills:
  • Experience working with children or youth, preferably in an educational setting
  • A commitment to creating a welcoming, inclusive, and safe classroom environment
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Punctual, professional, and reliable
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to handle varying assignments in different locations, grade levels, and class compositions
  • Availability to accept daily assignments
