ERW/DEAF BLIND INTERVENER

Position Type: Supply Position

Salary Range: $22.15 per hour


 POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the school Principal, Academic Resource Department Head, Academic Resource Teacher(s) and in conjunction with the Special Education Team, the Educational Resource Worker will provide assistance to students with special needs and will assist in the identification, development and implementation of strategies and programs to address academic needs, work habits, social skills and life skills, including personal care/hygiene.  This will include appropriate health/medical responses, where training has been provided.  The Educational Resource Worker will assist the teacher in preparing, developing, modifying and individualizing academic materials, resources, and specialized equipment such as assistive devices and specialized equipment that has been prescribed.  Will perform other duties as assigned by the Academic Resource Team and under the supervision of the Principal.
