HWDSB is an anglophone school board that offers two French programs. Our Core French program begins in Grade 4, with approximately 40 minutes of instruction per class per day. Our French Immersion program begins in Grade 1, with students receiving a minimum of approximately 85 per cent of instruction in French. In French Immersion, Core English instruction begins in Grade 2.Our FI program continues into secondary at 2 sites, we offer a wide range of courses including Math, Science, Geography and History. The FI program at HWDSB is a growing program with sites across the district.

Notre programme de français-cadre (de base) commence en quatrième année, avec des classes d’environ 40 minutes par jour. Notre programme d’immersion française commence en première année, avec un minimum d’environ 85% de l’enseignement en français. En immersion, l’enseignement de l’anglais commence en deuxième année. Le programme d’immersion continue dans deux de nos écoles secondaires où sont offerts des cours divers qui comprennent entre autres, les mathématiques, les sciences, la géographie et l’histoire. Le programme d’immersion française du HWDSB est un programme en pleine croissance. Il est offert dans des écoles dispersées dans notre district.

Enseignants de français langue seconde

HWDSB invite les enseignants de français langue seconde à soumettre leur candidature!
Nous sommes à la recherche d’enseignants de français langue seconde pour notre liste de suppléance. Les candidats pourront également être considérés pour des positions à long terme.
Les candidats doivent être qualifiés par l’Ordre des enseignantes et des enseignants de l’Ontario. Les nouveaux diplômés en attente de leur certificat de l’Ordre sont aussi invités à soumettre leur application. Le cours de français langue seconde, partie 1 (AQ), ou son équivalent, ainsi qu'une bonne maîtrise du français et de l’anglais sont également requis.

French as a Second Language, Part 1 or equivalent and native-like French fluency are required, along with strong English skills. Y our application package must include:
