HIGH SCHOOL ENGLISH TEACHER
Daaxiigan Sḵ'adáa Née K-12 School
An employment opportunity exists for a TEMPORARY Part-Time (0.5 FTE) High School English Teacher effective September 1, 2025 to the full return of the incumbent or no later than June 30, 2026 at Daaxiigan Sḵ'adáa Née K-12 School.
Requirements:
- A universityteachingmajor,or its equivalent,directlyrelatedto the teachingposition;
- Understanding and being committed to the calls to action of the Truth and Reconciliation commission, including the eradication of existing and persistent equity gaps for specific groups of children;
- High level of skills related to successful classroom management, and to the development and maintenance of a positive classroom climate;
- Experience with multi-grade classes an asset;
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, instruct and evaluate learning activities for students' strengths and for their academic, social, emotional and behavioural needs;
- Assume responsibility for the development and execution of Individual Education Plans
and Behaviour Support Plans;
- Knowledgeofschool-basedteams;
- Be prepared to provide support in creating inclusive learning environments where students are connected, supported, engaged and challenged;
- Proven interpersonal skills, work ethic and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively
with students, teachers, education assistants, parents and administrators;
- Understandingoflocalresourcesandenvironment;
- Teacher Regulation Branch certification.
Competitive Salary: $34,265 - $56,661 per annum
Remote and Rural Allowance: $1,518 per annum
Travel Allowance: $568 per annum
