Prospero Teaching is looking to appoint an outstanding Physics Teacher for a school in Reading with an excellent reputation. The school wishes to appoint a talented and motivated Teacher of Science, with a Physics Specialism.

The school prides themselves on being committed to first-class teaching and achieving high standards across the curriculum. The successful candidate would be joining a science department that have a proven track record of success with their pupils who are highly motivated and well behaved. The existing staff team are friendly and approachable, therefore are looking for someone of a similar character to join their team.

The successful candidate will:

• Have excellent subject knowledge in Physics
• Have experience of raising attainment in a challenging classroom environment
• Have a genuine belief in the potential of every child
• Have high expectations for all pupils
• Have a flexible ‘can do’ attitude
• Successfully manage classes and deal with challenging behavior
• Encourage students to reach their full potential
• Be patient and have a good sense of humor

Qualifications:

• Have a Bachelor of Education or equivalent, with good standing
• You hold the right to work and teach in the UK (UK Passport, Ancestry Visa, Spousal Visa or Youth Mobility Visa)
• Be eligible for QTS
• Have up to date Safeguarding training within the last year (Prospero offers accredited CPD training)
• Successfully undergo RCMP certified criminal record checks
• Provide at least two professional teaching references covering the last two years
