The Simcoe County District School Board is accepting applications for the elementary occasional teacher list. Preference will be given to applicants with multiple qualifications. Examples of preferred qualifications include, but are not limited to:

• Primary, junior, intermediate and special education
  

Applicants must apply through Apply to Education (ATE) and are asked to include a cover letter, which may be addressed to Carissa Brueton, Human Resource Services Officer, and a current resume.  Applicants are also asked to include their OCT number in the 'Certificates' section of their application to ensure qualifications can be reviewed.

• If you are a new graduate and your OCT certificate is not yet in "Good Standing" please include proof that you have requested your OCT under the "certificates" section of your ATE portfolio.

• If you are a current Teacher Candidate and will complete Teacher's College by no later than June 30, 2023 - You are welcome to Apply to this posting.

NOTE: Applicants will be asked to provide two references upon applying to this posting.  References may include principals, vice principals or a current or recent supervisor. We ask that at least one reference MUST be able to attest to your teaching abilities. Recent graduates may use ONE placement teacher as a reference. The SCDSB may contact references by email prior to an interview; be sure to provide current email addresses for references. Applicants may not be contacted for an interview if references are not successful.
