High School English Teacher

Eenchokay Birchstick School

 

Position Available: High School English Teacher. The teaching position will focus more on Applied and Academic Ministry of Ontario approved courses.

 

What: The Pikangikum Education Authority is seeking a motivated individual to work as a Full Time High School English Teacher at Eenchokay Birchstick School for the 2022-2023 school year.

 

Teacher’s Responsibilities:

·         Be responsible for the effective instruction and evaluation of student progress.

·         The focus of the classes will be English based on the curriculum from the Ministry of Ontario.

·         Be responsible for the effective management of all student behavior.

·         Demonstrate an ability to differentiate academic instruction.

·         An ability to create an engaging and inclusionary classroom environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

·         To be a member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) or to be eligible for membership.

·         Intermediate/Senior Teaching Qualifications required in 1 of the 2 program areas.

·         Excellent technology skills. 

·         Knowledge of Indigenous Culture an asset.

·         Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

·         Ability to work positively with other staff members.

Salary: $58,000 - $107,000
