Required Qualifications:
- Educational Assistant certification or Youth Care Worker Diploma
- Ability and experience in working with high school students
- Friendly in nature and sensitive to the needs of high school students
- Physical ability to work with active students
- Strong interpersonal and relationship skills, and an ability to work in a team environment
- A positive and flexible attitude to change
- Technological skill and ability within the Google Platform
- Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation
- Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion
Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Willingness to meet the health and hygiene needs of children as required
- Work one on one with students and within a classroom setting
- Based on needs of individual students, provide individual students with assistance in speech, motor, and language development and social and life skills
- Work as part of a team in development and implementation of Individual Improvement Plan
