Assignment: 1.0 (FULL TIME) CONTINUING POSITION
- DISTRICT SUBSTITUTE – ASSIGNMENT INCLUDES REGULAR SUBSTITUTE TEACHING WORK AT THE ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY LEVEL IN THE BURNS LAKE AREA
- MUST HAVE ACCESS TO RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
The successful candidate will remain eligible to apply for other district teaching vacancies that are posted.
On days without teacher replacement work, the successful candidate will report to their home school (to be determined), and will be assigned teacher work at that site by the Principal.
Qualifications
- possesses or is eligible for a BC Teaching Certificate
- training and recent successful experience teaching both literacy and numeracy knowledge and skills in a variety of curriculum areas and a variety of grade levels
- demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a positive classroom learning environment that engages students in active learning experiences
- experience in differentiating instruction to create success in learning for each student
- experience in integrating appropriate technologies into instructional practices in order to improve learning outcomes for students
Compensation
- Relocation allowance for teachers in BC, AB and other areas
- $2761 recruitment allowance (paid over 10 months of the school year based on FTE)
- Salary as per the collective agreement. Current salary grid is $65,006 - $103,964
- Benefits as per the collective agreement with option to enroll in medical, dental, extended health and group life insurance. Benefits are employer paid based on FTE
