2024-2025 International Languages secondary teacher position posting
The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is seeking intermediate/senior qualified teachers to fill Continuing Education International Language teaching and/or supply teaching positions, weekends or evenings, for the 2024-2025 school year.
All teachers (with or without Continuing Education (CE) Seniority) can apply to this posting. You MUST hold Intermediate & Senior qualifications with the Ontario College of Teachers (in good standing) at the time of application. As per the Collective Agreement, applicants with CE Seniority who appear on the June 2024 Continuing Education Seniority List and hold the required qualifications will be offered positions first. If there are positions still available after all teachers with CE Seniority who applied to this posting have been placed, teachers without CE Seniority may be offered a position based on their applicable qualifications.
Since instruction will be offered virtually, in order to fulfill the requirements of this position, teachers will need to have sufficient access to technology and reliable internet to teach virtually. Teachers must be prepared to deliver the assigned credit language course through Synchronous and Asynchronous platforms according to a predetermined schedule. The platforms that will be used to deliver virtual learning expectations, will include Google Classroom as the Learning Management Platform and Google Meet for class meetings. Teachers may also wish to incorporate other vetted applications and resources.
Saturday Program duration: September 21, 2024 till June 14, 2025
Class times: 9:00 am - 12:30 pm
SALARY: $50.87/hour + 4% in lieu of vacation (108.5 hours)
