The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is the largest school board in Eastern Ontario and offers students and parents a world of choice for learning. Our nearly 150 schools offer a wide range of programs to promote learning excellence and meet the individual needs of students, parents, and the community at large. Our schools are teaching communities where principals, vice-principals, teachers and support staff nurture student well-being and challenge students to achieve their best.
Casuals may be called to replace absence staff, to assist during peak periods throughout the school year, or help with special projects. Assignments can last anywhere from 1 day to several weeks or months, depending on the need.
Casuals may also be needed to support different administrative functions, including Finance, Payroll, Facilities, Human Resources.
We are currently in need of Casuals to support the Elementary and Secondary Schools in the main office. Typical tasks include front reception duties, assisting with safe arrivals, student and/or staff attendance support, and data entry.
This is your opportunity to get your foot in the door. As a casual employee, you will have the opportunity to apply and be considered for positions posted internally.
We use Apply to Education as the District's online recruitment tool. Please ensure your resume is up to date and detailed so we can assess your qualifications.
